Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building stronger communities. Through educational support, essential assistance, community outreach, seasonal programs, and meaningful partnerships, we help provide resources and opportunities that bring hope, stability, and brighter possibilities to those we serve.
Our Story
Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc. grew from a simple belief: when we have the ability to help, we should.
What began as personal and business-led community giving grew into something much bigger. Through our Back-to-School Backpack Program, we saw firsthand what can happen when individuals, volunteers, businesses, and community partners come together. Backpacks were donated, school supplies were collected, volunteers helped prepare them, and children and families received resources they needed to begin the school year with confidence.
That experience helped inspire Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc.—an organization created to extend that spirit of giving throughout the year. Today, our vision reaches beyond school supplies to food assistance, holiday support, community outreach, family assistance, and other programs designed to meet real needs.
Our story is still being written—and every person and family we serve, volunteer who gives their time, and partner who supports our mission becomes part of it.

Our Founder’s Story
Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc. began with one simple decision: to provide 30 children, from kindergarten through fifth grade, with the school supplies they needed to thrive.
Then came the question that changed everything:
Why stop at 30?
That question opened a door that has never closed.
What began with backpacks and school supplies for children quickly grew into a much larger mission of helping people when and where help is needed.
A veteran in Mississippi received financial assistance that helped provide 11 months of needed medication. A woman in Colorado received a walker with a seat, providing the mobility support she needed to continue working and maintaining her independence. Children received backpacks filled with supplies to help them walk into school prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
Different people. Different circumstances. Different states.
But each story began the same way: someone had a need, and someone chose not to look away.
That someone is Angela S. Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc.
A cosmetologist, trichologist, author, life coach, trainer, and entrepreneur, Angela has spent her career serving, teaching, encouraging, and investing in others. Her work has always been about more than providing a service—it has been about recognizing the potential in people and helping them move forward.
Brighter Future Community Foundation, Inc. grew naturally from that same spirit of service.
Angela believes that helping someone does not always require a massive program or unlimited resources. Sometimes it begins with a backpack. Sometimes it is medication. Sometimes it is a piece of medical equipment. And sometimes it is simply recognizing a need and deciding, “We can do something about that.”
Based in Colorado, the Foundation's vision reaches beyond state lines, economic barriers, and individual circumstances. The goal is simple: meet real needs, create meaningful opportunities, strengthen families, and help people build brighter futures.
Because need has no ZIP code, and compassion should have no boundaries.
Brighter futures are built one person at a time.
